Monkeywood, also known as monkeypod or suar wood, is a tropical hardwood found in Asia and the pacific regions. As hardwoods go, it is low to medium density. It is insect resistance and rot resistant. With it’s straight grained appearance and coarse texture, the Monkeywood is a popular choice amongst designers and craftsmen. It is fast growing, strong and resistant to rot and insects, making it ideal for dining and coffee tables.
