Thai Spirit houses are miniature shrines dedicated to the guardian spirits believed to inhabit the land. They are erected outside homes, businesses, and other buildings to provide a dwelling for these spirits, with the intention of ensuring harmony, and bringing good fortune and protection. Offerings of food, drink, flowers and incense, are made daily to keep the spirits content and the people safe.
